Mayorkun speaks about his relationship with Davido, DMW exit, and hints at marriage
Afrobeats sensation Emmanuel Adewale, popularly known as Mayorkun, has offered some rare insight into his professional and personal life, clearing the air about his relationship with Davido and teasing fans with news about a special someone.
In a candid sit-down with Arise News, the “Certified Loner” hitmaker revealed that his contract with Davido’s DMW (Davido Music Worldwide) label actually ended several years ago.
“My contract with DMW has been done for about 3 to 4 years,” Mayorkun shared. “But I’m still with them. After this interview, the next person I’ll be seeing is Davido.”

Despite no longer being under the label, Mayorkun emphasized that the connection remains deeply personal, one rooted in loyalty and brotherhood, not just business.
He also revealed that he has been signed to Sony Music for the past three years, and his next project will be released under the global label.
Switching gears, Mayorkun had fans buzzing when he confirmed he’s no longer single.
“I am off the market. There’s no chance for any other girl,” he said with a smile. “I won’t mention her name or give details now, but in due time, everyone will know her.”

The announcement adds more intrigue to ongoing fan speculation linking Mayorkun to reality TV star Dorathy Bachor, after a cosy moment between the two went viral at her birthday bash.
While neither has confirmed the relationship, Mayorkun’s latest revelation only adds fuel to the fire.
