May D fires back at fan over social media comment

Nigerian singer May D has responded to a Wizkid fan who attempted to mock him on social media after a follower requested financial assistance.
The exchange took place on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, March 7, 2025, when a fan reached out to the Soundtrack crooner, saying: “May D, show me love.”
In response, May D simply replied, “Send aza,” implying that the fan should send their account details.
However, a Wizkid supporter quickly reacted with a sarcastic comment:
“Person wey no get shishi,” suggesting that May D was broke.
Not one to let the insult slide, May D fired back, taking a jab at the fan’s idol:
“If your oga get shishi, him for no direct him video himself, fool.”
The comment was a clear reference to Wizkid’s recent decision to self-direct his music video for Kese—a move that had sparked mixed reactions online.
The heated exchange has since gone viral, igniting debates among fans about the ongoing online rivalries in the Nigerian music industry.
