Master KG addresses claims that Original Dalom Kids remixed Keneilwe without permission
South African musician Master KG recently addressed allegations surrounding his remix of “Keneilwe” by the original Dalom Kids, asserting that he and Nkosazana’s Daughter collaborated on the track and released it last year. Despite garnering significant streams and securing top positions on music charts, Sunday World reported on how the new Dalom Kids have seemingly overshadowed the original group, exacerbating their financial struggles.
A Twitter user criticized Master KG for not obtaining permission before remixing the song, prompting the DJ to denounce the individual as a mere seeker of attention. He refuted the allegations, emphasizing his understanding of the music industry and dismissing the headline as misleading. “This is wrong,” he stated, highlighting the necessity to comprehend the full context before forming opinions merely for social media validation.
In a follow-up tweet, Master KG continued to defend his actions, condemning reckless behaviour and emphasizing his extensive experience in the music industry.
“O bolela masepa and for likes read the story to understand not for likes, been in the music for sometime for me to do things recklessly,” he added.
