Mason Mount sees Twitter account suspended before Man Utd unveiling
Mason Mount’s Twitter account has been suspended, just as his move to Manchester United is set to be finalized.
The social networking platform has had a turbulent few days, with criticism leveled at owner Elon Musk for various modifications he’s made since purchasing the company.
Mount may now be among the disgruntled, following the announcement that the powers that be had temporarily stopped his account. There have been suggestions on social media that a huge number of Chelsea fans, who are disgruntled with his departure from Stamford Bridge, are to blame after they reported his account, resulting in the suspension.
United are on the verge of officially confirming Mount as a player after agreeing to a deal worth an initial £55 million ($70 million) to bring him from London to Manchester. Erik ten Hag’s first summer signing will be him.
Mount might make his United debut against Leeds in Norway on July 12 in their first pre-season friendly of the summer.
