Mason Mount sends message to Chelsea fans ahead of uncertain summer.
Mason Mount has thanked Chelsea fans for their support this season as he prepares to take a ‘holiday’ during the summer.
Mount, who missed the conclusion of Chelsea’s season due to a pelvic injury, may have played his final game for the Blues as the summer transfer market approaches and he might be moved.
Mount is in the final year of his contract and has been informed that if he does not agree to an extension, he will be sold this summer.
All bids have so far failed to convince the midfielder, but negotiations are still ongoing, with incoming boss Mauricio Pochettino reported to be anxious to keep Mount.
Ben Chilwell threw his arm around his good buddy Mount as they made their way into the tunnel following the 1-1 draw that ended the season on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
After what has certainly been a difficult season, Mount later used Instagram to address Chelsea supporters.
“It’s fair to say it’s been an up and down season but your support has never dipped,” he began.
“Travelling around the country, you were with us every step of the way and at times we didn’t deserve you. But now it’s time to have a break and recover… Thank you and enjoy your summer blues”

Chelsea executives are willing to sell one of their most precious assets before Mount reaches the last year of his contract, but the club hasn’t given up on keeping Mount despite Pochettino’s efforts to keep the England international.
Rival Premier League teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are reportedly eager to capitalize on the scenario and have bids prepared for the 24-year-old player in case he does decide to reach the open market.
