The success of Marlian Record and the status of Naira Marley as the King of street music has been proven by their performance on Nigeria’s foremost music chart.
Marlian was the first label to have three artists in the top ten of the TurnTable Top 50 in a week (a record that is yet to be matched another imprint in Nigeria).
This week, Marlian Records continued its dominance by registering its presence on the chart in sensational fashion.
Marlian Records had three of their artists on the chart with Mohbad appearing twice. Naira Marley’s latest single “Drug Test” debuted at No.10 despite suffering from a radio ban and having no visuals yet, Zinoleesky’s “Naira Marley” rose 18 places from 35 to 17, and Mohbad’s “Feel Good” occupies the No. 23 spots (a dip that was caused by the song’s absence on Audiomack).
Mohbad’s second entry on the chart is courtesy of his contribution to Lil Frosh’s “Denge Pose” which debuted at No. 36. Naira Marley’s own “Coming” with Busiswa remains on the chart at No. 27 after twenty-one weeks on the Top 50.
