English professional footballer Marcus Rashford achieved a new professional milestone as a Manchester United player during their win over West Ham on Sunday.
The Man United striker has now notched a century of strikes for the club after scoring his seventh of the season against West Ham and wrote himself into Manchester United folklore on Sunday afternoon.
Marcus Rashford’s 100th goal for United helped Erik ten Hag’s team defeat David Moyes’ West Ham 1-0 on Sunday at Old Trafford.
When Rashford scored his 100th goal for Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, he copied an old Cristiano Ronaldo celebration.
The international player from England, who turns 25 on October 31st, scored the game-winning goal for United in their 1-0 Premier League victory over West Ham at Old Trafford. He is the 22nd member of the three-time European Champions to reach 100 goals in a competitive season.
After reaching the landmark, Rashford gestured a number 100 sign to the Old Trafford crowd in the exact same way Ronaldo did when he scored his 100th goal for United. The Portuguese superstar reached the landmark in a 5-0 win against Stoke in November 2008

Rashford, who is enjoying a comeback under Erik ten Hag, scored a remarkable goal on Sunday. Between August 2019 and May 2021, he scored 43 goals for United across all competitions to establish himself as one of the top forwards in the Premier League.
Yet Rashford was forced to rebuild his profile following a dreadful 2021/22 campaign, which saw him score just five goals in all competitions. He hasn’t played international football since 2021 as a result of that drought, leaving his World Cup spot in doubt.
But following a strong start to the season, Rashford is once again a candidate to join Gareth Southgate’s group. The talented forward has seven goals and three assists in 15 appearances, including two in each of his previous two matches against the Sheriff and the Hammers.
“We didn’t play well but good to win games like that,” said Rashford after Sunday afternoon’s win. “If we want to achieve our aims, we have to win games like that.”
On his 100th goal, Rashford added: “[It’s a] beautiful feeling. Something I have been working on, I feel I need to score more goals like that and keep getting in those areas. Pleased that I have managed to score today and it’s always good to score regardless of whether Gareth Southgate is watching or not.
“[There is a] completely different energy in the team, we had a difficult start but we have to keep going. [David] de Gea, [Lisandro] Martinez, Harry [Maguire], Diogo [Dalot] – they were all brilliant. We held on and we defended well.”
