Man Utd close in on another signing! Erik ten Hag to reunite with ex-Ajax star as Red Devils agree €25m deal for Bayern right-back Noussair Mazraoui – but they must sell one player first
Manchester United have agreed to sign Bayern Munich star Noussair Mazraoui, paving the way for a reunion with Erik ten Hag.
Foot Mercato reports that Mazraoui, valued at around £21 million ($27 million), is set to make the switch from Bayern to United. The 26-year-old is keen on joining the Premier League side. The move is contingent on United’s ability to offload current right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with a transfer only possible if Wan-Bissaka departs Old Trafford.
Despite West Ham’s interest, it appears the Moroccan international is heading to the Red Devils. This would reunite him with his former Ajax manager, Erik ten Hag, who previously brought Anthony and Lisandro Martinez from Ajax to United.
Mazraoui, born in the Netherlands, began his career at Ajax before moving to Bayern in 2022. He has made 55 appearances for the German club, but his time in the Bundesliga seems to be ending.
As the transfer progresses, Ten Hag’s United continue their pre-season with a match against Real Betis on Wednesday, followed by a clash with Liverpool on August 3.
