Manchester United Close In On Signing of Amrabat from Fiorentina
According to Moroccan journalist Izem Anass, Manchester United are nearing the signing of Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
The deal is said to be close to completion, with the midfielder expressing his desire to leave the Italian club earlier this month.
While the transfer fee has not been specified in the report, it is believed that Amrabat will cost around €35 million (£30m/$39m), which was the fee mentioned when he expressed his intention to leave Fiorentina. United has already made signings this summer, including Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
Amrabat gained recognition as a standout player for Morocco during the World Cup in Qatar, where they reached the semi-finals. Since joining Fiorentina in 2020, he has made 107 appearances for the Serie A club, and his contract is set to expire at the end of the next season.
The completion of the move is expected in the coming days, as Manchester United continues its pre-season tour in the USA.
