Manchester City vs Brentford: Haaland injury latest, confirmed team news, predicted lineup for Premier League.
In order to start off the final weekend of Premier League play before the World Cup, Manchester City will host Brentford on Saturday at lunchtime.
The defending champions under Pep Guardiola are galloping into the midseason break. On Wednesday night, City eliminated Chelsea from the Carabao Cup, earning their 16th straight triumph at home.
While Brentford is meandering toward what must seem like a merciful vacation from club football, the other team is struggling. The Bees had only won one of their past nine games and were eliminated from the EFL Cup by fourth-tier Gillingham in the middle of the week due to Ivan Toney’s involvement in off-the-field betting charges.

Man City team news:
On Wednesday night, Kalvin Phillips participated in his first competitive game since undergoing shoulder surgery. Kyle Walker, who had a groin injury, has not yet made a comeback but is almost through his recovery.
While serving his one-match suspension against Chelsea in midweek, Joao Cancelo, who was dismissed during City’s most recent Premier League game against Fulham, is now eligible for Saturday lunchtime.

After overcoming an Achilles injury, Christian Norgaard made his first appearance since August during the midweek cup set. Thomas Frank disclosed that the substitution of the Denmark international during halftime was a pre-planned change as part of his recuperation.
Midfielders Vitaly Janelt (muscle) and Shandon Baptiste (adductor) are doubts. Thomas Strakosha and Aaron Hickey have been nursing ankle injuries in recent weeks while Kristoffer Ajer and Charlie Goode are sidelined by knee problems. Captain Pontus Jansson has also been ruled out with a thigh complaint.

Man City vs Brentford score prediction
Last season Frank described City as “the best team in the world against the low block”. Following the addition of a certain Erling Haaland, City’s attacking supremacy has only increased; as signalled by the startling average of 4.1 Premier League goals per home game this season.
The Bees were obstinate opponents for the champions both at home and away last season, despite the fact that Brentford’s last goal against City occurred before the invention of the internet. However, City are the heavy favourites to finish ahead of Qatar with yet another easy home victory.
The score will be Man City 3-2 Brentford.
