Manchester City have unveiled their 2025/26 home kit, blending tradition with futuristic design through the bold introduction of a white sash on their iconic sky blue jersey—a move that’s already creating buzz among fans.

Designed by Puma, the shirt pays homage to a beloved part of City’s visual identity. While the white sash has featured prominently on away kits since the 1970s and made appearances across various decades, this marks the first time it has appeared on a home shirt.
Puma describes the design as “bridging the gap between different generations of City fans,” combining nostalgia with modernity. The jersey features:
- Sky blue base with a diagonal white sash across the front.
- Subtle detailing inspired by classic City kits.
- Available in both authentic and replica versions, with the latter made from at least 95% recycled materials, showcasing a continued commitment to sustainability.

City icon Mike Summerbee, who was part of the official kit launch video, shared his thoughts:
“Kits hold special memories for players and fans. The sash has always been a loved design that people remember fondly, and I’m delighted to see it return this year, on a home kit. I hope fans around the world enjoy the video and that this kit brings more special memories for the club.”
While Manchester City will conclude their current campaign—including the upcoming FA Cup final—in the 2024/25 kit, the new sash design will debut on the global stage at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, with City’s first match against Wydad Casablanca on June 18 in Philadelphia.
The striking sash not only marks a stylistic evolution but also symbolizes City’s growing legacy on the world stage—past meets present, with eyes firmly on the future.
