Makhadzi to settle debt with free performance.
On September 2 in Dries Niemandt Park in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, there will be a free performance by Makhadzi as part of The Exclusive White Spring Picnic.
According to the report, the Ma Gear hitmaker will use a free performance to pay off a debt of R80,000.
The singer was paid R80,000 by the event’s promoters, but she did not appear at the White Lifestyle concert in Kempton Park on April 30.
The organizers pursued Makhadzi to court, but she said that her personal difficulties would prevent her from being able to repay.
“After she got the letter of demand from organizers, she told them that she won’t be able to pay as things are not looking good for her financially at the moment,” a source told the publication
The singer enthusiastically accepted the offer to play for free in order to pay off her debt, but the organizers claim she won’t be included in the poster in order to avoid being let down once more.
A legal guarantee to appear at the event and perform for free will be made by the singer of the hit song “Ghanama” to commit herself.
Furthermore, Fans’ favorite Somizi, gospel performer Lebo Sekgobela, Mafikizolo, Afro Pop icon Ringo Madlingozi, Boohle, Busiswa, DJ Tira, T-Bose, DJ Kent, Lerato Kganyago, and Dladla Mshunqisi are among the other performers scheduled to appear at the next concert.
