‘If you’re afraid of embarrassment, you’ll never make it’ – Magixx

Afrobeats rising star Magixx has stirred online conversations following a candid interview on Hip TV’s Trending, where he shared forthright views on success, fear, and self-belief.
The Mavin Records singer, known for his breakout hit Love Don’t Cost A Dime, didn’t mince words when addressing the mindset he believes holds many people back from achieving greatness.
“If you’re afraid of embarrassment, you’ll never make it in life,” Magixx declared, stressing that overcoming the fear of failure or public perception is crucial for anyone chasing a dream.
He went further to challenge a common belief in Nigerian pop culture—that countless undiscovered stars are waiting for a chance.
“People say talent is plenty outside. If it was, they would have seen the talent. A lot of people mismanaged their blessings,” he said, pointing to a lack of preparation or discipline as the real reason many don’t break through.
Magixx also emphasized that success isn’t accidental:
“God doesn’t make mistakes. If someone is in that position, it’s because they earned it.”
The singer’s bold remarks have since sparked debate across social media. While some applaud his message about hard work and resilience, others argue that systemic challenges and lack of access often block talented individuals from rising.
Still, the interview has reignited broader discussions around fear, risk-taking, and what it really takes to succeed in competitive industries like music.

If Talent was plenty, they would have seen the talent.
