Maddison makes fun of Saka after the Arsenal star copied his darts celebration
In the North London Derby, Bukayo Saka copied Tottenham midfielder James Maddison’s “dart celebration” after helping to set up Arsenal’s opening score.
As the Argentine defender threw out his legs to save the goal, Saka fired a shot from the edge of the penalty area that was deflected off Christian Romero’s legs and went into the goal. Then Saka was spotted copying James Maddison’s signature celebration, an England teammate.
But following a thrilling 2-2 draw in the north London derby in which Maddison assisted Heung-min Son’s brace, he made fun of the Arsenal star in his tongue-in-cheek reply.
Speaking after the match, Maddison said, “Me and Bukayo had a bit of banter and a bit of trash talking if you like on international duty. I got told he did the darts celebration. He must have still been doing it when I turned him for our first goal I think!”
Saka was seen earlier this month copying Marcus Rashford’s celebration after scoring in the Gunners’ 3-1 victory against Manchester United by pointing to his head.
The next game for Mikel Arteta’s team will take place on Wednesday when they take on Brentford in a Carabao Cup third-round match.
