Recall that a week ago, M.I Abaga announced on his social media his exit from Chocolate City and the launch of his Music label, incredible Music.

In an interview with Channel TV, he was asked why he left Chocolate City and his relationship with them at the present level.  He replied,

Nothing happened to the relationship [with Chocolate City]. We are family for life. Chocolate City is family. It is time for me to do a new thing musically, the rest is in the Album. Generally, I have had a no-press policy on this issue. The reason is that I don’t want my words to be twisted. I am careful who I answer”

He also said he was grateful to Chocolate City for what he achieved during his time with them but that now it’s time for Incredible Music.

Adding that Nigeria is a hard place for someone who cares about musicians and that the Nigerian music industry has no respect for contracts and institution and their role.
