    No doubt M.I. Abaga is the pioneer of Nigerian mainstream hip-hop

    Since his debut, M.I. Abaga has maintained a fantastic position at the top of Nigerian hip-hop.

    With nearly 17 years of artistic life and his continued orchestration of the new rap culture, M.I is one of the few musicians who can legitimately claim to be a legend in the Nigerian music scene.

    However, M.I’s role in the evolution of young Nigerian rap artists diverging focus on building up a new sonic export cannot be overstated.
