Luke Shaw reveals one thing he won’t miss about David de Gea at Man Utd after goalkeeper’s exit is confirmed.
Following David De Gea’s announcement that he will be leaving Manchester United, Luke Shaw said there is one thing about the goalkeeper he won’t miss.
De Gea announced his departure from the team, concluding a 12-year tenure at United, and Shaw said him farewell on Instagram. Shaw made the assertion in his letter of goodbye that he will miss working with the Spaniard, but he also made light of the goalkeeper’s musical preferences.
He wrote, “An honour to play alongside you over the last nine years. A United legend. Good luck in your next chapter, you will be missed (but not your music).”
After his contract expired on July 1, De Gea’s exit was inevitable. Both parties agreed that it was time to split ways because United did not want to make an offer that was comparable to the goalkeeper’s prior contract.
The replacement for the Spanish international has already been picked by the Red Devils, who are in advanced negotiations to sign Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana in the summer.
