Juventus have officially confirmed Luciano Spalletti as their new head coach, marking the start of a fresh chapter for the Turin giants.
The veteran tactician has signed a short-term deal running until the end of the season, with the option of an extension if he secures Champions League qualification.

The announcement brings an end to weeks of speculation following the dismissal of Igor Tudor, whose permanent appointment in the summer failed to deliver results. Juventus’ patience ran out after an eight-match winless streak left them languishing in eighth place in Serie A and struggling in the Champions League, sitting 25th overall and outside playoff contention.
In a statement on Tuesday, the club expressed excitement over the new arrival:
“We are delighted to welcome a coach with such expertise and experience to the Bianconeri family. Welcome to Juventus and good luck, coach!”

Spalletti steps into the role with one of the most impressive résumés in Italian football. The 66-year-old last managed the Italian national team, a stint that ended earlier this year after a disappointing 3-0 loss to Norway dealt a major blow to the Azzurri’s World Cup qualification hopes. His tenure also saw Italy bow out in the round of 16 at EURO 2024 against Switzerland.
Before his time with the national team, Spalletti enjoyed an iconic spell at Napoli, where he led the club to its first Serie A title in 33 years during the 2022/23 season, a historic achievement that cemented his status as a club legend.
His deep ties to Napoli, however, make his move to Juventus somewhat controversial. After that title win, Spalletti famously tattooed the Napoli badge on his arm and declared he would never manage another Italian club.
Yet, football has a way of rewriting its own promises. Juventus, eager to reclaim their place among Europe’s elite, clearly believe Spalletti’s tactical nous and big-game experience can steer them back to glory.
His previous stints with Roma and Inter Milan further underline his pedigree in managing high-pressure environments.
Spalletti’s first challenge in charge of the Old Lady comes quickly, an away trip to Cremonese on Saturday night. For Juventus fans, the hope is simple: that the man who brought Naples to life can now reignite the fire in Turin.
