The Afrobeats scene is buzzing again this time thanks to Lojay, who has unveiled a cinematic teaser for his upcoming single ‘Memories,’ a collaboration with South Africa’s global star, Tyla.

The announcement dropped on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, and fans are already bracing for what promises to be one of the season’s standout collaborations.
In the teaser clip, Lojay strolls through a sleek art gallery dressed in his signature laid-back style.
The space itself feels like part of the story: red ceilings, bold blue and red walls, and wide windows framing a sweeping view of the city skyline and waterfront.
As he passes abstract paintings and ceramic pieces, snippets of the song spill through the speakers a fusion of Afrobeats and R&B laced with themes of regret, lost love, and the memories that refuse to fade.
Though Tyla doesn’t appear in the visual, her unmistakable vocals glide in, making it clear that her presence in the track will be powerful. The clip closes with a bold message flashing across the screen: “MEMORIES. OUT SOON.”
The pairing of Lojay and Tyla feels almost inevitable. Lojay, who broke through with ‘Monalisa‘ and his genre-bending work with Sarz, has steadily built a reputation for pushing Afrobeats into soulful, amapiano-infused directions.
Tyla, on the other hand, became a global sensation after her smash hit ‘Water‘ took over charts and timelines, blending R&B and amapiano into a fresh, irresistible sound.
With both artists already rewriting the narrative of African music on the international stage, ‘Memories‘ is shaping up to be more than just a single—it’s a cultural moment in the making.
