Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich has been signed by Liverpool.
The Reds looked to improve their midfield options during the summer transfer window, especially after the club captain Jordan Henderson and the seasoned tandem Fabinho left for Saudi Arabia.
Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Alexis Mac Allister have all entered Anfield, and now Dutch international Gravenberch has joined them.
Liverpool was keeping an eye on Gravenberch’s status at Bayern Munich, according to a first-hand report in April. He moved from Ajax last summer and spent his debut season at the Allianz Arena as a bit player.

Later that month, we made known that Gravenberch had requested permission for Bayern Munich to at least consider possible escape strategies during the summer transfer window.
Liverpool remained interested in the 21-year-old throughout the summer before making a determined effort to recruit him in the closing days of the transfer window.
On Thursday, they and Bayern Munich reached a price agreement, and late on the deadline day, they completed the signing of Gravenberch.
Liverpool fans feared that Bayern Munich’s inability to sign Joao Palhinha from Fulham earlier on Friday would have scuppered their plans to bring in Gravenberch, but the German champions were still happy to sanction his move to Merseyside.
We have completed the signing of midfielder Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich on a long-term contract, subject to a work permit. 🙌
