Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion Among Others Will Headline 2023 Global Citizen Festival.
The 2023 lineup for the Global Citizen Festival was revealed on July 11. And both the old and modern schools of hip-hop are well represented.
The event, which will take place on September 23 in Central Park in New York, will feature performances by Lauryn Hill and Megan Thee Stallion as the headliners.
Attendees will be able to receive free tickets to the charitable festival only by participating in one of GCF’s initiatives and through a lottery system.
There will also be performances by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Conan Gray, and the K-pop group Stray Kids.
GCF says “with each action you take, you earn points to go towards your entries into the draw for Festival tickets.” There will be five separate drawings for tickets to the event, with each entry costing a total of 60 points.
July 11-31, August 1-14, August 15-28, August 29-September 11 and September 12-19 are the five time periods fans can enter the drawings.
“The campaign will unite millions of voices, amplified by the world’s biggest artists, to demand urgent action from world leaders gathering in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly in September,” a statement for the event obtained by Rolling Stone reads.
