Lampex Drill has crafted a track titled “Bounce” that’s equal parts Afro-fusion heat and Amapiano groove, built to dominate every dance floor it touches.

Lampex Drill is ready to take over with “Bounce,” and it’s obvious that it’s a song that will make waves across Nigeria’s music scene. Released on September 1st, 2025, this Afro-fusion banger blends the upbeat rhythm of Amapiano with the raw energy of street-hop and club music. If you’re looking for a song that makes you want to move, Bounce is exactly that. He made magic with Hypeman Standard.

This track differs from Lampex Drill’s earlier work, such as “Kumbaye,” which had a slower, more thoughtful vibe. With Bounce, he wanted to create something loud, fun, and full of life. As he puts it, “This is my first time creating a song like this, reflecting where I’m at in my spirit.” And you can feel that spirit in every beat.

Lyrics That Speak to the Streets

One of the reasons Bounce stands out is its catchy and relatable lyrics. Lampex Drill talks about being outside, having fun, and living freely. He says, “Outside dey chill, outside dey cold, we dey outside, bounce, bounce.” It’s a line that feels like a chant, something you’d hear in a packed club or at a street party.

In another part of the song, he adds, “In case you wan put leg outside, in case you won gbe body, in case you won get high, omo we dey outside.” These lyrics are simple but powerful. They invite listeners to let go of stress, step out, and enjoy the moment.

Even when he says, “I just won smoke ganja, inside dey dull, e dey hot, outside dey chill,” it’s not just about getting high; it’s about escaping boredom and finding joy in the outside world. The message is clear: life is happening outside, and you don’t want to miss it.

    Why This Song Matters

Bounce isn’t just another club track. It’s a celebration of freedom, movement, and bold living. It’s also a big moment for Lampex Drill, who started making music as a teenager and has worked hard to build his name. He was a top runner-up in Mavin Records’ “Up Rising Artist” competition and has collaborated with artists like Boi Chase.

His style is inspired by big names like Burna Boy, Santan Dave, and Jay Z, but he’s carving out his own lane. With Bounce, he’s showing that North Central Nigeria has something fresh to offer, and it’s ready to go global.

Produced by Oracle in Abuja, Bounce has a beat that’s impossible to ignore. The bass is heavy, the percussion hits hard, and the groove is pure Amapiano. It’s the kind of sound that makes DJs want to drop it instantly. Hypeman Standard, one of North Central Nigeria’s biggest hype men, adds his voice to the track, making it feel like you’re already in the middle of a party.

Originally, South African duo ESK Musiq were supposed to add their touch to the song, but due to an unfortunate robbery, their version is on hold. Nonetheless, the energy of Hypeman Standard ensures that Bounce doesn’t falter.
