Adekunle Gold’s forthcoming album ‘Fuji’ to be celebrated with Lagos Island street carnival.

AG Baby is ready to make history again, this time with his bold new album Fuji, dropping Friday, October 3, 2025. And just days after the release, Lagos will come alive with a massive street celebration in his honour.
The ever-vibrant Mainland Block Party crew has announced that it will be hosting a one-of-a-kind Fuji Street Carnival on Lagos Island, Sunday, October 5. Slated to run from 4 p.m. till 11 p.m., the carnival promises fans a cultural and musical experience “out of this world.”
Even the event’s poster captures that vibe—two astronauts in full spacesuits joyfully pounding traditional talking drums, surrounded by whimsical touches like a rocket ship and a floating balloon figure.
It’s a playful nod to Adekunle Gold’s fearless attempt to stretch the boundaries of Fuji, blending its deep traditional roots with Afropop rhythms and global influences.

The Mainland Block Party, known for its high-energy gatherings, is stepping outside its usual mainland turf for this special moment, choosing the historic Lagos Island as the backdrop.
Attendees can expect live performances, cultural showcases, and the full-throttle party atmosphere the organisers are famous for.
Tickets are already on sale, with organisers urging fans to grab theirs early. Supported by Pepsi and other partners, the carnival looks set to turn Lagos Island into a giant stage for Adekunle Gold’s latest chapter.
With the anticipation around Fuji already sky-high, this carnival isn’t just a party—it’s shaping up to be the launchpad that cements the album as one of 2025’s most defining releases.
