South African Rapper L-Tido Accuses Akon of Spreading False Information about South Africa. In a recent interview, international superstar Akon made controversial statements about South Africa, sparking a heated debate.
During the interview, Akon claimed that the richest individuals in South Africa are black, while white people are living in poverty-stricken ghettos.
“Everywhere you go, there are areas with poor people, but the poorest parts are where the white folks are,” Akon stated, asserting that a Netflix special supports his claims.
However, South African rapper L-Tido quickly refuted Akon’s statements, labeling them as lies.
“Akon is spreading false information about our country,” Tido expressed his disapproval.
Following L-Tido’s response, numerous Twitter users joined in to criticize Akon for his misleading remarks, igniting a wave of backlash on social media.

Furthermore, in other news according to renowned Senegalese-American artist Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam, popularly known as Akon, Nigerians are possibly the “smartest people” in the world.
The ‘Oh Africa‘ vocalist made the claim while participating in the Drink Champs podcast, which N.O.R.E and DJ EFN co-hosted.
He asserted that Nigeria produces more billionaires than any other country in the world. Akon acknowledged that a few “bad apples” are damaging the country’s reputation, though.
He said, “This could be debatable, but the Nigerians are the smartest people on the planet. I promise you, there is nobody more smarter than a Nigerian. Of course, there is a few bad apples that came out. They [the bad apples] are extremely smart. But they put their intelligence all in wrong place.
