Singer L.A.X explains why he filed a N500 million defamation lawsuit against a Twitter troll

Singer Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X, has shared his reasons for taking legal action against a Twitter user over defamation, seeking ₦500 million in damages.
The controversy began when a Twitter user, @edna_reese, accused the singer of having herpes. She claimed in response to a romantic photo L.A.X had posted online, writing, “Rasaki wicked herpes giver. Omo! Love and light to you.”
Shortly after making the statement, @edna_reese took to social media to reveal that she had been arrested.
Speaking in an interview with Chude, L.A.X explained that before filing the lawsuit, he investigated the troll’s profile and discovered she had a history of cyberbullying, using a fake bio and profile picture to spread falsehoods about people.
He noted that the accusations quickly gained traction, leading to an influx of calls and online tags, which ultimately prompted him to take legal action.

In the interview, LAX revealed how Big Wiz showed him so much affection while he was signed to Starboy Entertainment.
According to LAX, despite the fact that his father is a billionaire and has given him money for his music video, Wizkid will still spend his own bag (money) on him.
At the time, LAX stated that Wizkid would shell out N5 million for his music video and even assist him with promotion despite the fact that it was a partnership contract.
