    Real Madrid’s star forward, Kylian Mbappé, is steadily carving out his place among the club’s all-time greats.

    The French international delivered a stunning brace against Leganés, bringing his goal tally to 33—matching the record set by Cristiano Ronaldo in his debut season with Los Blancos.

    With several matches still left in the 2024/25 campaign, Mbappé is well on track to surpass the milestone.

    The former PSG talisman opened the scoring at the Santiago Bernabéu from the penalty spot, but Leganés quickly responded through Diego García.

    Dani Raba then put the visitors ahead just before halftime. However, Madrid bounced back in the second half, with Jude Bellingham finding the net before Mbappé secured his second goal of the night, further cementing his impact.

    Reflecting on his achievement, Mbappé described the moment as truly special.

    “It’s very special. The most important things are the ones you achieve with the team, but to score the same number of goals as Cristiano is always good. We know what Cristiano represents for Real Madrid and for me. We always talk, and he gives me advice. It’s great to score goals, but as I always say, the ultimate goal is to win trophies here.”

    With 22 of his 33 goals coming in La Liga, Mbappé is proving he belongs among the legends who have worn the famous white jersey. As he continues to shine for Real Madrid, all eyes are on him to see just how far he can go in his debut season.
