Kylian Mbappe clarifies stance on Real Madrid summer transfer.
Kylian Mbappe denied rumours that he is planning to sign with Real Madrid this summer.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward has stated unequivocally that he would not exercise the one-year option in his current deal, a position he later claimed was made clear when his extension was signed last summer.
Real Madrid, who have been chasing the Frenchman for a while, is expected to step up their pursuit this summer. Le Parisien even said that Mbappe’s only goal is to move to the Bernabeu before the start of the upcoming season.
Mbappe, though, used Twitter to set the record straight and refute the allegations.
“LIES,” he wrote in response to the story. “The bigger [the lie], the more it passes.
“I have already said that I will continue next season at PSG, where I am very happy.”
MENSONGES…❌
En même temps plus c’est gros plus ça passe. J’ai déjà dis que je vais continuer la saison prochaine au PSG où je suis très heureux. https://t.co/QTsoBQvZKU— Kylian Mbappé (@KMbappe) June 13, 2023
However, PSG faces a problem because Mbappe is now scheduled to leave the team as a free agent at the conclusion of the 2023–24 season and will be allowed to negotiate a contract with his suitors in just six months.
According to club sources, Mbappe, who is perhaps the most valuable football player on the planet, won’t be permitted to depart for free next summer.
In part, because Karim Benzema moved to Saudi Arabia, it is believed that Real Madrid is eager to rekindle its interest in Mbappe.
Although it was before the Frenchman’s statement about his future, club president Florentino Perez was recently caught on camera stating his plans to recruit Mbappe in the future but ruling out making a move this summer.
Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, will cost Los Blancos over €100 million this summer, and they are also on the lookout for a few new strikers after Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, and Mariano Diaz all left the team for free.
