Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel returns with emotional depth and sonic brilliance in his latest EP, “Lemon Chase.”

Spanning seven tracks, this project isn’t just a prelude to his forthcoming album, Uncle K—it’s a reflective and richly layered journey through love, grief, serenity, and celebration, offering a slice of life listeners everywhere can connect with.
Each song peels back a different layer of emotion. From the enchanting opener “Black Girl Magic” to the poignant closer “Police”—which features the ethereal harmonies of Mavin Records’ Johnny Drille and the legendary Angelique Kidjo—Kizz Daniel delivers a rollercoaster of feelings woven into vibrant Afrobeats rhythms.
On Lemon Chase, he curates a bold mix of collaborators. Johnny Drille and Angelique Kidjo offer soul-stirring contrasts to the gritty, high-energy deliveries of Bella Shmurda, Odumodublvck, Zlatan, and Fola, his creative partner on the fan-favourite “Lost.”

Their contributions add layers of texture and emotion, amplifying the EP’s mood and range while showcasing Kizz Daniel’s impressive artistic flexibility.
The production roster is equally stellar. Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed—frequent collaborators behind his chart-toppers—return to shape the EP’s eclectic soundscape.
Reward Beatz lends his touch to “Eyo” and co-produces “Black Girl Magic” with Bando and Blaise Beatz. Blaise takes the reins on “Secure” and “Peace I Chose,” while “Titi” emerges from the synergy of Magic Sticks and co-producers Reward Beatz and Blaise. “Al Jannah,” a standout cut, glows with Ayzed’s signature finesse.

Reflecting on the EP, Kizz Daniel shares:
“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life—sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic, and true to self.”
Uncle K: Lemon Chase marks a new era for Kizz Daniel—an artist who has long mastered the charts, now leaning deeper into storytelling. With this EP, he not only raises anticipation for Uncle K but also reinforces why his name will endure as one of Afrobeats’ most dynamic and enduring voices.
