Kizz Daniel denies hiring his former label boss
Renowned Nigerian Afropop artist, Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known by his stage name, Kizz Daniel, has clarified the recent reports suggesting that he employed his former record label boss, Emperor Geezy.
Kizz Daniel’s manager, Louiza Williams, issued a statement to address the situation, explaining that the singer renewed his collaboration with Emperor Geezy, the founder of G-Worldwide, in order to allocate more time to focus on his music.
Contrary to the viral social media reports, the statement emphasized that Kizz Daniel did not sign or hire Emperor Geezy to manage his imprint, Flyboy Inc. Instead, they have entered into a collaborative partnership to facilitate mutual artistic growth and innovation.
The ‘Buga’ singer said; “When Emperor Geezy came on board, he awakened the ‘Kizz Daniel’ of where I started, and that is one thing I appreciate about him each time we work together. He is my charger. With the new arrangement, I will have more time to devote to making good music.”
Louiza further clarified that their new business arrangement involves Kizz Daniel voluntarily stepping down from his position as the Chief Executive Officer of Flyboy Inc, allowing Emperor Geezy to take on that role.
Louiza said; “Under this partnership, while Kizz Daniel will prioritise his music career and strengthen his global fan connections, the international music star will be leaving crucial business decisions of his brand and record label in capable hands.”
Louiza Williams also highlighted that Kizz Daniel’s choice to collaborate with the G-Worldwide boss was grounded in their shared vision of fostering a nurturing and innovative atmosphere for artists.
It’s worth recalling that both parties recently joined forces to sign a new artist, Pryme, to both Flyboy Inc and G-Worldwide. Pryme was featured on a track titled “Show You Off,” which appears on Daniel’s latest album named “Maverick.”
