VADO D’GREAT Announces Break from Music to Focus on Family, Hints at Retirement Plans

Nigerian Afrobeats star Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has revealed he’s taking a break from music to prioritize his family. The award-winning singer announced in a candid post on X (formerly Twitter), where he expressed a desire to realign his personal life.
In his post, Kizz Daniel shared that his family had accused him of prioritizing his music career over them, prompting him to pause studio work.
“No more recording for me …. Just enjoying life like it should be …. My family don diss me say I choose studio over them, I’m changing,” he wrote.
The ‘Buga’ hitmaker also opened up about retirement, suggesting he’s already thinking about when to hang up the mic. Responding to a fan who commented on his frequent music drops, especially after he teased a new EP, Orange Chase, just days after releasing Lemon Chase, Kizz Daniel hinted at his long-term plans.
“I have over 600 songs I want to dish out before I hang boot, so,” he wrote.

The singer’s remarks have sparked conversations online about work-life balance, burnout, and the pressures of maintaining a top-tier music career while nurturing personal relationships.
While fans respect his decision to take a step back, many are hopeful this is just a temporary pause, not a permanent farewell.
As one of Afrobeats’ most consistent hitmakers, Kizz Daniel’s potential retreat from the music scene marks a significant moment in the genre’s evolving landscape.
