Kendrick Lamar is rewriting history—again. The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper just set a new record for the highest-grossing concert by a rapper, pulling in $14.8 million at Seattle’s Lumen Field on May 17, where a staggering 60,941 fans turned out for his Grand National Tour stop with SZA.

This milestone surpasses his own previous record of $11.8 million, set just a month earlier at the AT&T Stadium in Texas. The news was confirmed by financial news platform Wealth via Instagram, spotlighting Kendrick’s dominant presence on the live stage.
But that’s not all 2025 has brought for the rap icon.
Earlier this year, Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl 59 halftime show became the most-watched in history, with 133.5 million viewers, edging past the legendary Michael Jackson’s 1993 record of 133.4 million.

The Super Bowl showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs also shattered overall viewership records with 127 million total viewers, making it the most-watched game in Super Bowl history.
Kendrick’s electrifying halftime performance featured a high-energy medley of fan favorites like “HUMBLE,” “LOYALTY,” and “Money Trees.” He also reunited with SZA for a powerful duet of their Oscar-nominated hit “All The Stars.” In a cinematic twist, acclaimed actor Samuel L. Jackson narrated the set, adding a dramatic arc to the show’s storytelling.
A 22-time Grammy Award winner, Kendrick Lamar is now not just dominating charts and culture, but also live entertainment history.
