KCee opens up about falling victim to a $70K scam
Ojapiano vocalist Kcee has revealed how he fell victim to a scam, losing $70,000 in the process, which has since influenced his stance on remixes.
In a recent appearance on Isbae U’s YouTube show, Kcee opened up about his experiences in the music industry, spanning over three decades. He discussed his aversion to paying for collaborations and his general disinterest in remixing songs.
During the conversation on the show “Curiosity Made Me Ask,” Isbae jokingly suggested that Kcee had paid One Republic to remix his hit track, Ojapiano. Kcee refuted the claim and took the opportunity to shed light on his unfortunate encounter with a scam by an American artist. Despite shelling out $70,000 for a promised remix collaboration, it never came to fruition, leading Kcee to adopt a cautious approach towards paying for remixes in the future.
