‘Drake signed his soul to the devil’ – Kanye West
Kanye West, the American rapper, has made a startling assertion, suggesting that his fellow rapper Drake made a pact with “the devil” by signing away his soul. According to West, their falling out stemmed from Drake’s alleged alignment with malevolent forces, contrary to West’s own representation of God.
In a recent statement, West revealed his participation in Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That‘ remix, citing his enthusiasm for what he perceives as the removal of Drake from the hip-hop scene. This bold claim adds another layer of intrigue to the ongoing rift between the two artists.
Speaking on the latest episode of ‘The Download’ podcast, West said, “It’s like he [Drake] signed his soul to the devil to not be cool with me. This is his job, to go against God.
“Pluto [Future] called me, I went to the studio and laid that [my verse on the remix]. Everybody was very, very excited about the elimination of Drake. Not excited — we was energized.”
He claimed that Drake has a “rich baby daddy” in the person of the CEO of Universal Music, Lucian Grainge who influenced his commercial success.
“Drake has a rich baby daddy, named Lucian [Grainge] and Universal. He’s like, my daddy control the spins, my daddy got the DSPs,” West said.
