Kanye West and Adidas Spark Reconciliation Ties
Strong indications are hinting at a possible reconciliation between Kanye West and Adidas, following his recent link-up with Adidas CEO, Bjørn Gulden.
The speculation gained traction last year when rumors of their potential reunion circulated on Twitter after an image surfaced showing them together. Supporters hopeful for a reconciliation interpreted this as a sign that the Adidas partnership might be revived.
In a press release issued by Adidas on February 10, 2023, it was noted that 2024 would mark a turnaround year for the company. The release emphasized the need for transition and rebuilding to restore Adidas to its former success.
In part it reads, “The numbers speak for themselves. We are currently not performing the way we should. 2023 will be a year of transition to set the base to again be a growing and profitable company… We need to put the pieces back together again, but I am convinced that over time we will make adidas shine again. But we need some time.”
More recently, Kanye West shared a post on his Instagram page featuring an image with Gulden, accompanied by the caption, “I just bumped into the CEO of Adidas. No cap, what do you guys think this means? I offered them 20 percent of the shoe sales to do distribution. Make Adidas great again.”
