Following his split from former record label “Trybe records”, 2014 definitely has the makings of a good year for “K9”. He recently released the single “Celebration” with close friend “Beats by Sarz”, and now “K9” who rocked airwaves locally & internationally and was nominated for several awards with the super smash hit “KOKOMA”, is back with his first release under his new entertainment outfit “Young Lion”. The song titled “Lord Have Mercy”, features award-winning rapper “Olamide” a.k.a Badoo and is produced by “K9” himself. A smooth blend of rap and hip-hop/r’n’b, coupled with a heavy beat by the wonder kid “K9”, this song is bound to bring down the roof whenever it comes on. Complete with a catchy hook which you will find yourself singing along to, a healthy dose of metaphors and punchlines from both artists, and some MAJOR CONTROVERSY as both artists indulge in some SERIOUS NAME-DROPPING on the verses and outro, this song has the makings of a major street anthem for the year 2014. We just hope the named artists don’t make it a thing…or do we? Watch out for the video as well, we hear it’s maaad! enjoy.
