BREAKING: FA Confirms Fines To Manchester United.
The FA confirmed on Wednesday that Manchester United had received two fines for actions during the games against Newcastle and Chelsea.
United were fined £82,000 (£45k + £37k) by the FA for failure to control players during games against Newcastle and Chelsea.
The breaches revolve around contentious incidents during their clashes with Newcastle United and Chelsea last month – both games ending in draws.
First, there was the encounter against the Magpies, where players surrounded the official after a heated exchange between Callum Wilson and defender Lisandro Martinez of the Red Devils.
The trick was subsequently duplicated by United in their dramatic 1-1 draw with Chelsea when the referee was once again encircled after he decided to give the hosts a penalty for a foul that Scott McTominay had accidentally given up.

A statement confirming their decision reads: ” Manchester United FC has been fined £82,000 in total for breaching FA Rule E20.1 during its Premier League matches against Newcastle United FC on Sunday 16 October and Chelsea FC on Saturday 22 October.
“Manchester United FC admitted that it failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 49th minute of the Newcastle United FC game and the 84th minute of the Chelsea FC fixture.”
“Independent Regulatory Commissions imposed fines of £45,000 and £37,000 for the respective breaches in the Newcastle United FC and Chelsea FC matches during separate hearings.
“The Independent Regulatory Commissions’ written reasons for these individual sanctions will be published in due course.”
