Court rules on Jude Okoye’s bail amid high-profile money laundering case

Jude Okoye, the elder brother of Peter and Paul Okoye of the former P-Square duo, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Lagos after being arraigned on money laundering charges.
The CEO of Northside Music Limited was brought before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of laundering N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. The EFCC also accused Okoye and his label of acquiring a property worth N850 million in Ikoyi, Lagos, in 2022, allegedly using proceeds from unlawful activities.
Justice Alexander Owoeye set bail at N100 million, requiring two sureties in the same amount, with one surety owning a landed property. Additionally, Okoye is barred from leaving the country until further notice.
A widely circulated video shows Okoye exiting the court alongside his brother, Paul Okoye, after securing bail. The case remains ongoing as legal proceedings continue.
