Jude Bellingham has opened up about his anticipation for his first-ever El Clasico and his early memories related to this iconic rivalry.
The English international made a high-profile move to Real Madrid from Dortmund in the summer transfer window, with a transfer fee of €103 million.
Bellingham has been in excellent form this season, having already netted 11 goals for Real Madrid across various competitions.
In the lead-up to the upcoming Clasico match, Bellingham reminisced about one of his favorite El Clasico moments involving Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking in an interview with TVE, as reported by Marca, Bellingham recalled, “I always remember celebrations and stuff like that, and I remember Ronaldo’s one at the Camp Nou when he went ‘calma, calma.’ These are the things that stay etched in your memory, the iconic moments.”
Despite nursing a minor muscle strain, the Real Madrid midfielder is eager to participate in the match and is expected to do so.
Bellingham expressed his readiness, saying, “I’m ready, I’m feeling good. There’s still a day and a bit to prepare to be in the best condition for the game. I had a slight issue in the last Champions League match, but I’m feeling good and hopefully, I’ll be out there, and we’ll achieve the right result.
I’m really excited. I’m eagerly looking forward to it, the atmosphere, and facing a respected opponent as a club. It’s going to be an exciting encounter.”
Jude Bellingham is eagerly anticipating his debut in El Clasico for Real Madrid this weekend.
