Manchester United complete signing of Joshua Zirkzee
Manchester United has completed the signing of highly-rated striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for a reported £35m.
The 23-year-old Dutch international impressed in Serie A, leading United to beat rival suitors to his signature.
“I’m thrilled to join Manchester United,” Zirkzee said. “The manager’s vision and the club’s history excite me. I’m ready to give my all and help the team achieve success.”
“Having had discussions with the manager and the leaders of the club I know how exciting the future is going to be here and I cannot wait to play my part in achieving success for Manchester United,” Zirkzee said.
“I am a player who has always dedicated everything to winning; I’m ready for this next challenge, to go to another level in my career and win more trophies.
“It is a privilege to join such an iconic club. I have to take a short break now after being with the national team, but I’ll be coming back ready to make an impact straight away.”

United manager Erik ten Hag welcomed Zirkzee, stating, “Joshua is a talented player who will strengthen our attack. His dedication to winning aligns with our philosophy.”
Zirkzee’s arrival addresses United’s need for a reliable striker, following Anthony Martial’s injury struggles and Wout Weghorst’s loan departure.
The signing is seen as a coup for United, who outmaneuvered AC Milan to secure Zirkzee’s services. His addition boosts the Red Devils’ attack, generating excitement among fans.
The move may not be the only one, as United is reportedly in talks with Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt, a former Ajax teammate of Zirkzee’s under Ten Hag.
