I’ve never experienced ‘real heartbreak’ – Johnny Drille
Singer and songwriter Johnny Drille revealed on social media that, despite recording songs about heartbreak, he has never experienced it firsthand. The “How Are You” crooner shared that every time he has written and sung songs about heartbreak, it was simply a made-up experience and not something he has personally gone through.
The disclosure sparked reactions on social media, with netizens suggesting that Johnny Drille should inquire about the experiences of his colleagues Ric Hassani and Chike, both known for their soulful and emotional music.
The revelation adds an interesting perspective to Johnny Drille’s songwriting, showcasing his ability to convey emotions authentically even without personal experiences in certain themes.
He wrote, “Never really experienced real heartbreak firsthand, so for every time I’m gonna make a song about heartbreak, just know I’m making it up. But I promise you it’ll slap still.”
Recall, Johnny Drille and his wife, Rima Tahini, recently celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary, marking five years of being together. The singer shared five pictures from their wedding on Instagram, expressing his love and admiration for his wife in the caption.
The post highlighted the intimate nature of their ceremony, with fellow Mavin stars such as Rema, Ayra Starr, and Dija among the attendees. The celebration not only marked a significant milestone in their marital journey but also showcased the support and camaraderie within the Mavin family.
“Thank you for the happiest five years of my life, and the most beautiful two years of marriage. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me and I’m glad I get to go through life with you. Happy anniversary,” he said in his caption.
