Fans of Nigerian singer and songwriter Johnny Drille have expressed disappointment as the artist announced the cancellation of his much-anticipated concert in Benin City.
The event, originally slated for December 22, 2024, at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub & Sound Stage, was called off due to unforeseen circumstances. In an emotional post shared via his social media platforms, Johnny Drille apologized to his fans and expressed his heartbreak over the decision.
“This breaks my heart cos I’ve never had to cancel any show for all 6 years we’ve done the #JohnnysRoomLive shows despite the many challenges in the Nigerian concert space, we really did try our best. We’re initiating full refunds to everyone who bought tickets online; if you got your ticket through an agent, please reach out to them for a full refund,” he wrote.
The announcement has triggered mixed reactions across social media. While some fans voiced their disappointment, others extended their understanding and support, urging the artist to return with a new date for the show.
