Nigerian singer Joeboy has set social media abuzz after teasing his upcoming single Ring featuring Shoday, slated for release this Friday.
In a newly shared Instagram video, the duo took a creative twist with a hilarious “Pop the Balloon” audition skit hosted by popular comedian Nons Miraj (Ada Jesus).
The clip mimicked her viral matchmaking show, The Hunt Game Show, where hopeful contestants try their luck at finding love.
One by one, potential “wives” approached Joeboy’s desk to compete for his ring only for the singer to cheekily pop their balloons and reject their proposals, leaving fans laughing at his comic timing.
The skit comes on the heels of Joeboy’s recent revelation that his mother has been pressuring him to get married. On September 30, 2025, the Body & Soul hitmaker shared that he woke up to a surprising voice note from his mum, who playfully scolded him for focusing too much on music and not enough on settling down.
In the viral recording, she was heard saying:
“All this your music, blowing up everywhere, enjoyment. You have blown — no doubt. But when will you now blow into marriage? Your mates are doing wedding everywhere. What are you doing? I’ve told all my friends my son will get married soon!”
