I’m open to marrying my current girlfriend – Singer, Joeboy
Nigerian artist Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, professionally known as Joeboy, has expressed openness to the idea of marrying his current girlfriend. Describing their relationship as one characterized by “pure intense helpless love,” Joeboy conveyed his belief in the institution of love and marriage during his appearance on the latest episode of Madame Joyce’s ‘Cocktails & Takeaways‘ podcast.
He said, “My current relationship is like pure, intense helpless love. I believe in love and marriage to an extent [laughs].
“The person I am with now, I can be with her for life. If I don’t see myself being with somebody for life, I’m not going to be in a committed relationship. I would rather let’s just be seeing ourselves but no commitment.”
This revelation offers insight into Joeboy’s personal life and his perspective on romantic commitment, showcasing his genuine affection and commitment to his partner.

Recall, Joeboy recently shared his perspective on relationships, highlighting a significant red flag that he identifies.
In an interview with online personality Tacha Akide on CoolFM Lagos, Joeboy was asked about his red flags in relationships. The singer candidly revealed that a lack of financial contribution from a woman could be a potential deal-breaker for him.
Joeboy elaborated on his viewpoint, stressing the importance of financial reciprocity in a relationship. While he doesn’t expect his partner to cover all expenses, he values the assurance that she is capable of reciprocating his gestures.
He clarified that his desire for financial equality arises from a belief in balance and fairness within a relationship. Joeboy emphasized that he doesn’t seek to benefit from his partner’s wealth but rather desires assurance that his efforts are met with an equal contribution.
