Afrobeats star Joeboy has launched a major educational support initiative that is already garnering attention across the country.
Through his charity arm, the Young Legend Foundation, the singer announced a ₦10 million scholarship fund aimed at alleviating the financial struggles faced by students in Nigeria’s public tertiary institutions.

The scholarship scheme, the foundation’s first official project, will cater to 30 students selected from public universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
The application link has been made available through the foundation’s social media pages, opening the door for thousands of hopefuls eager for support.
According to the foundation, each beneficiary will receive financial aid averaging more than ₦333,000. For many students, that amount could be the difference between dropping out and continuing school, as it can go toward tuition, accommodation, books, or general upkeep.
While unveiling the initiative, Joeboy explained that his motivation was rooted in his commitment to youth development and his desire to create opportunities that outlive his music. “Success is not just about personal achievements; it’s about uplifting others,” he said. “Through the Young Legend Foundation, we want to support talented young Nigerians and help them move closer to their dreams.”
The singer’s gesture places him among a rising list of Nigerian entertainers channeling their influence beyond the stage, investing in education and empowerment at a time when many young people are battling economic and academic challenges.
With the scholarship fund now active, Joeboy’s Young Legend Foundation is poised to make a tangible difference in the lives of students who simply need a boost to stay on track.
