Prolific Nigerian Singer, Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus popularly known as Joeboy, has stated that he plans to enter the acting industry shortly.
Joeboy revealed that he has already received offers for movie parts. He, on the other hand, is not overjoyed about the prospect of playing these parts.
Speaking to YFM’s Brown Berry on the ‘Ryse N Show’, he explained:
“At some point, I want to branch into other factors of the entertainment industry like fashion or acting. I have been getting some offers for acting but the roles are not what I want to debut in. I want a role that people will not expect. I don’t want a role as a musician. I want it to be a different role”.
When quizzed on whether he was good at acting, his response was,
“I am learning to act. I won’t say I am the best but I can pass when it comes to acting”.

Joeboy’s songs, which are frequently about love, have infectious melodies that catch the attention of everybody who hears them.
The ‘Nobody‘ hitmaker claims that his music is contagious because he writes songs that he can relate to on a personal level, making them highly unique.
If and when he gets an acting position, we hope he can transmit the same spirit.
Meanwhile, the singer has released a new tune called “Alcohol.” According to him, the song represents the serenity of mind that everyone seeks after going through difficult periods in their lives.
