Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Joeboy has officially released his much-anticipated third studio album, Viva Lavida, under his imprint, Young Legend.
The album, which translates to “Live Life,” embodies the artist’s ideology of embracing freedom, self-awareness, and inner peace despite life’s uncertainties.
With Viva Lavida, Joeboy taps into his signature style while showcasing artistic evolution. Listeners will find echoes of his earlier days as the lovestruck crooner behind 2019’s hit single Baby, but with a more mature, introspective touch.

Drawing from highlife and classic Afropop influences, the album navigates themes of love, existential musings, and emotional vulnerability.
One of the standout tracks, Streets Are Lonely, paints a somber picture of fleeting romantic connections, acknowledging that even those with seemingly full lives are not immune to love’s inconsistencies.
Unlike his previous projects, where he often projected self-assurance, Joeboy surrenders to life’s unpredictability in this latest offering. The album’s core message resonates with its title—choosing to live freely despite the highs and lows.

The project also arrives with a visually captivating music video for the lead single, Free of Charge, featuring Nigerian rap icon Olamide.
The video transports viewers into a dynamic, multi-layered world, shifting between neon-lit urban settings and sun-soaked desert landscapes. Joeboy exudes elegance in a crimson red suit, while Olamide commands the screen in an all-black ensemble, reinforcing the song’s message of love and extravagance.
The 14-track LP includes previously released singles, such as the soulful Taxi Driver, the reflective SMH, and the heartfelt Adenuga featuring Qing Madi.
Additionally, Osadebe, a track that has resonated with global audiences, has already surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify.
“At the end of the day, life is unpredictable and bad times are inevitable, but the one thing you are in control of is how you react and live. I choose to live free,” Joeboy expressed. “No matter how many times I get my heart broken, no matter whether I succeed or fail in life and love—Viva Lavida!”

The album launch follows Joeboy’s successful 2025 world tour, which kicked off in Australia with a string of sold-out performances.
The tour is set to continue across Europe in April and May, with stops in major cities including Copenhagen, Rome, Milan, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and key UK locations such as Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Leicester.
