    • Burna Boy: Jesus didn’t get his credit while alive, so who am I to complain

“Jesus didn’t get his own credit before he passed away, so who am I” – Burna Boy

Nigerian Grammy-award-winning artist Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, claims he doesn’t receive enough credits despite being “the best in the world.”

After a performance at the Afronation festival in Portugal, he said this while chatting with Nigerian-British concert promoter Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, alias Smade, and podcaster Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo.

In a viral video, Smade lauded Burna Boy and complained that he didn’t receive enough credit; in response, the African Giant compared himself to Jesus.

The ‘African Giant’ said he is not bothered about not getting enough credits because Jesus didn’t get his till after his death.

Burna continued by saying how much it meant to him that people were praising him as the world’s best musician.

Shopsydoo added that the goal is to dominate the music industry globally rather than merely focusing on Afrobeats.

Smade said; “Burna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, you don’t get your credits enough bro. You’re the f*cking best in the world.”

Burna Boy responded: “No, I don’t [get enough credits]. Jesus also didn’t get his own credits till he died, so who am I? [Laughs]”

Shopsydoo added: “It’s not about Afrobeats anymore, it’s about worldwide domination.”
