South African artist, Master KG, received a “3X Platinum” plaque for his popular single “Jerusalema” during a recent trip to Italy.
Master KG expressed his amazement when he shared the wonderful news on Twitter. He praised everyone who contributed to the song’s enormous popularity.
A gospel song called Jerusalema was played in practically every room and nook. The song was played nonstop at clubs, churches, on the beach, by DJs, and by music fans.
The remix was recorded with ‘African Giant‘ crooner, Burna Boy, and the song was just recognized as the most streamed.

Master KG was recently named to Forbes Africa’s ’30 Under 30′ list alongside Rema of Mavin Records.
