“Love Is a Myth” – Jeriq explains why he doesn’t believe in relationships
Nigerian rapper Jeriq has sparked debate with his candid take on relationships, revealing why he has never been in one and why he remains skeptical about love and loyalty.
Speaking in an interview with Glitch Africa, the hip-hop star admitted he struggles to believe in the idea of exclusivity between a man and a woman. According to him, true loyalty in relationships is nearly impossible.
“I don’t believe in the concept of a man and a woman being in a relationship. I don’t believe that a girl can be loved and be loyal to only me. I don’t believe that it’s possible,” Jeriq stated.
Despite his doubts, the rapper acknowledged that if he ever met a woman who proved him wrong by being genuinely honest and devoted, he would reciprocate the same love and commitment.
“If I see a girl who will be loyal to only me and be honest with me, I will love her and also stay loyal to only her. But it’s not possible,” he added.
Jeriq’s remarks have ignited mixed reactions online. While some agree with his perspective, others argue that true love and loyalty still exist—just not in his world.
