Jaywon offers tips to Nigerians on how to deal with the police during stop and search operations.
Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, best known by his stage as Jaywon, has advised Nigerians to always hand over their phones to the police when they make a request for them.
This morning, Jaywon posted a video of a man being harassed by a police officer on Instagram. He expressed displeasure with the circumstance and suggested that Nigerians turn in their phones to the police in order to prevent harassment.
He said on Instagram,
“The problem is the amount of slap and dehumanizing you will get before you give them. So I ask, is it really worth it? Just give them the phone abeg”.
He felt instead of receiving slaps while holding on to the phone, why not give them to check whatever they want to check? The situation can be totally averted by lending your phone without being aggressive
